Congratulations to WNHRMA Scholarship Winners!

    The Western Nebraska Human Resource Management Association (WNHRMA) is pleased to announce our 2024 scholarship winners. 

    Receiving a $1,000 award is Carlye Kresl who will graduate in May from Hemingford High School.  During high school Carlye was active in cross country, track and wrestling.  She also participated in leadership opportunities like student council, National Honor Society, quiz bowl, one acts and the science Olympiad.  Carlye is planning to study business management at Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska.  We are excited for Carlye as she begins her college career.

    Receiving a $1,000 award is Cambree Schmaltz who just finished her freshman year studying Agribusiness with a minor in Animal Science at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas.  Cambree was active as a College of Agriculture ambassador; the Collegiate Cattlemen’s Club and she volunteered her time as a tutor for the UFM After School Program.  We wish Cambree the best as she moves into her sophomore year.

    Madisen Meek was awarded a $500 scholarship as she begins her college career at Colorado State University where she will study Business Administration.  Madisen will graduate in May from Hemingford High School where she was active in FCCLA, Student Council, Cheerleading, National Honor Society and many more.  We wish Madisen an amazing freshman year.

    Nathaniel Barker was awarded a $500 scholarship as he embarks on his college career at Western Nebraska Community College.  After completing prerequisite coursework, he will transition to Kansas City Kansas Community College to specialize in Mortuary Science.  Nathaniel will graduate from Bayard High School where he was active in 4H, sports, choir, and band.  Plus, Nathaniel is an Eagle Scout.  We wish Nathaniel the best in his college future. 

    Western Nebraska Human Resource Management Association meets at noon on the third Thursday of the month.  The purpose of the association is to provide educational and networking opportunities for our members in the human resource profession.  At least one scholarship is awarded each year to a student in or entering an accredited institution and majoring in a business-related field.
