The Western Nebraska Human Resource Management Association (WNHRMA) is pleased to announce our 2025 scholarship winners. Receiving a $1,000 scholarship award is Averielle Sager from Chadron High School. Averielle plans to attend the University of Nebraska Omaha to attain a degree in Business Administration with a minor in Spanish. Averielle has been involved in Softball, Cardinal Singers, One Acts, Musical, and serves as the Student Council Communications Director and the President of the National Honor Society. In addition, Averielle has been involved in multiple civic initiatives as a volunteer. We are excited to honor Averielle Sager with this scholarship.
Receiving a $500 award is Emily McCune from Alliance High School. Emily has not made a final decision on a university but has already been accepted to several. Emily plans to pursue a degree in accounting and then a law degree to reach her dream of becoming a tax-specialized attorney and certified public accountant. Emily has shown great capacity as a leader during her high school career, currently serving as the president of Future Business Leaders and vice-president of A-Club. She is also the team captain for the Golf and Speech teams.
John (Jack) Maser was awarded a $500 scholarship. Jack currently attends Gering High School and will attend the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, in the Fall to pursue a degree in Finance. Jack has served in leadership roles in the National Honor Society, Student Council, and on the Basketball and Golf teams. Jack has also been involved in Key Club, G-Club, and FCA. In addition, he started his own business, Yard Works, in 2024.
We wish each of these exceptional students the very best in the pursuit of their collegiate dreams.
